Has anyone managed to get tickets for the Hindhead tunnel walk through yet? Myself and two others have been trying since 10.00am this morning and can't even get onto the website.
Four out of six of us are Haslemere born and bred and would really love to do the walk.

Been online since before 10:00 trying to book tickets.

Stupidly slow website. Also don't bother to keep clicking on the BOOK TICKETS on the left hand menu as that just tells you will have to book. You actually go to BOOK PARK AND RIDE which it lower down the menu to find the real booking form. Then expect to wait upto 15mins for each stage... yes 15mins.

It is a fancy re-freshing page (but so slow you would not know it) so after selecting pickup place wait wait and wait until it refreshes and shows you a selection of times. Else like me you press NEXT only to be told 15mins later you have not filled in all parts. Same with rest of booking.... slow slow and slow. Just hope the tunnel works better.

Website for booking is appaling.

Started at 10:00 this morning. Eventually lets you enter all your information but by the time you get to the payment page and press NEXT it says the number of tickets you reqested is no longer available. Throws you back to the front page to select a time and number of tickets once again.
Appaling design to allow you to get past the confirmation with name and address, tickets etc etc then throw you out when going to pay. Should have reserved the tickets when you first asked so that when you got to the payment page they were still available.
Glad they arn't running the tunnel.

Having trouble booking a ticket for the Tunnel Walk Through. Well note this.
You actually have to book a place on the park and ride bus that takes you to the tunnel walk. So click on that link - not Booking Tickets.!*#$
Then select a park and ride pickup point and then wait for available times to pop up underneath - could take ages.
If no places try another time (obvious) or another place. For me the Haslemere pickups ran out of places whilst I was waiting for the next page of the website (yes that slow & badly designed), but Becon Hill pickup was listing 50+ places @ 12:00 left so big difference. Persevere and you may just get lucky. I did eventually after about 4hrs....

Hello there all you A3 Tunnel fans.
I am also intrigued by this fascinating engineering achievement.I did not even try to get a ticket for the Walk as we were expecting 200 customers to come after the Walk and enjoy a Nepalese Curry Lunch at the Gurkha Durbar Restaurant in Grayshott in aid of two famous Charities..the Gurkha Welfare Trust and the Army Benevolent Fund.Unfortunately, there were not enough tickets...BUT.....we are still thinking of going ahead with the LUNCH.
What do you think? Will you come and have some "Bhat"?
